A Benchmark Function for Multi-Objective Optimization of Competing Concept Alternatives

Abstract


The aim of this project was to develop a Benchmark Function for multi-objective problems that relate to concept design. This bi-objective benchmark test function for a multi-concept, multi-objective problem is scalable in terms of variables and the total numbers of concepts. A multi-concept genetic algorithm was then tested against the benchmark to demonstrate its improved performance over single-concept genetic algorithms.
