Thermal Protection Systems for Hypersonic Vehicles

Abstract

Aerothermodynamic heating of hypersonic vehicles is a major challenge to be overcome in the design of future hypersonic vehicles. Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) have been reviewed to showcase past and present methods of overcoming this challenge.
