Hypersonic Wave Riders for atmospheric reentry

Abstract

This paper will review the basics applied to the design, optimisation and applications of hypersonic waveriders. Discussion will cover aspects such as waverider design and optimisation including issues such as real gas effects. Waveriders as applied to the application of atmospheric reentry will also be discussed.
